SERVICES PROVIDED

INDIVIDUAL

Individual sessions are designed to help clients unlock their inner potential for healing and growth. This is done through looking at client’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I trust that each person can become the person they would like to be when they are in an accepting environment, which fosters authentic acceptance of self and desired change to occur outside of session.

FAMILY

Sometimes concerns may arise that need to be addressed as a family unit. Whether it is an individual or group concern, family therapy provides clients with structure, guidance, and a team approach to create a strong working family unit.

PARENT-CHILD RELATIONSHIP TRAINING

Parent-Child Relationship Training allows parents to learn basic play therapy techniques. As parents learn these techniques they can start implementing the skills into their daily interactions with their child, which can help with a variety of presenting concerns, such as aggression, behavioral outbursts, ADHD, and depression. Parent-Child Relationship Training is proven effective to enhance the parent-child relationship while improving a child’s overall wellbeing.

PLAY THERAPY

Most children are not developmentally able to verbalize their concerns. Play therapy allows children to express themselves in a natural manner to them. The toys in the playroom serve as a child’s means of communication or “words” and their play is their “conversation”. Through meeting the child on their developmental level, the therapist can see into the child’s world to better help them understand their current thoughts and feelings.

ACTIVITY BASED THERAPY

Activity based therapy can range from art, music, sports, to other therapeutic activities that the therapist brings in based on the client’s needs. Activity based therapy allows children, adolescents, and teens to explore their presenting concerns from a different perspective. Activity based therapy is a more direct form of therapy to assist client’s in finding personalized solutions to the concerns currently affecting their lives.
